What this is all about....

During the months of April and May, my wife and I are travelling to three corners of Australia, to Papua New Guinea, and to Indonesia.  The intent of the trip is to visit the churches in Australia who support and send students to the Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary (www.crts.ca), to encourage future students, to visit graduates of CRTS who are working hard for the gospel in various churches and mission fields, and to encourage everyone to continue to live by the glorious grace of our wonderful God.

You are invited to join us on this trip by keeping up with this blog.  We don't promise to post every day on here, and there may even be times when there won't be much...  But the trip will have a wonderful variety about it:  the beaches of Cairns, of Albany, and Indonesia, the rough terrain of Tasmania, the jungles of PNG, the churches of Perth, the colleges of Port Moresby and Timor -- all of this and so much more will be part of our journey.  We don't even know what we'll all do, because... we haven't done it yet!  And our activity will be as varied as the places we go -- from vacationing by the Great Barrier Reef, to preaching on different pulpits (or no pulpits - in the really rural areas of PNG?), to discussing the future of theological education, from a powerpoint on Forgiveness, to a prezi on Grace, to coffee in the homes (hope they drink that stuff there!)....  And pictures ... we hope to give you lots of them.

And those following us on this blog are no less varied: from kids and grandkids who are wondering where in the world Grandma and Grandpa are, to board members who are curious as to whether Dr. Visscher is doing any work, to colleagues and siblings who are wishing they were doing it in our place. Enjoy...!

If you like, you can also get automatic email updates by putting your email address in the Follow by Email slot in the top right corner.

In the meantime, until early June, you can't reach us by phone, but email should work, and you can leave us a comment on the blog, if you like....

May God bless you all,
Gerhard and Teny Visscher
